Intergrated Security Systems and Service Enhancement
An intercom(intercommunication device), talkback or doorphone is a stand alone voice communications system for use within a building or small collection of buildings, functioning independently of the public telephone network. They are generally mounted permanently in buildings and vehicles.
An intercom systemm is a two way communication electronic device that contains circuitry for the purpose of transmitting and receiving audio and/or video transmisions. They include:
- Wireless intercom system: In applications where wires cannot be run, a wireless system is used
- Wired intercom system: Used when you can run wires between locations. It can give you a little more privacy and eliminate possible interference from neighbouring systems.
- Video intercom system: These typically have a unit that has a camera, speaker and a push button that goes at an entrance door and on internal monitor unit that can communicate with the entrance unit. Some systems can have multiple video monitors internally.
- Apartment intercom system: This type of system has a door unit at an entrance door and then each apartment or flat has either one or multiple units that can speak to the door and possibly see the visitor, or the door unit rings a landline or cellular telephone number.
Workplace Protection
Upon occasion a client may find it necessary to terminate an employee or perhaps have a broader reduction in the workforce. While most termination occur without a problem, occasionally terminations can generate strong emotions and the possibility of a violent response from the terminated employee(s). We routinely counsel our clients how to terminate an employee to minimize the risk of workplace violence occuring as part of the termination process. We also assist them in dealing with workplace violence should it occur.
Furthermore, should there be problems with the terminated employee post-termination, we have the experience and expertise to evaluate the risk and take appropriate action to prevent a former employee from disrupting the safety and security of the workplace and becoming a threat to the other employees.
Similarly, upon occasion, a client might be confronted with an employee who is experiencing a problem in their home life that spill out into the office. We work with our clients to makesure that the appropriate safeguards are in place to deter workplace violence, secure the work environment and ensure that the problem employee receives appropriate assistance.
